Pep Guardiola could take over at Chelsea should Jose Mourinho leave – report
Report: Abramovich could hire fierce Mourinho rival as Chelsea's next manager

Roman Abramovich would be keen to make Pep Guardiola the next Chelsea manager should Jose Mourinho leave the club, according to reports.

Despite a testing start to the season, Mourinho is adamant that he will not lose his job, and recently received a vote of confidence from the Chelsea board.

But according to Bild, Abramovich will look to Guardiola if Chelsea and Mourinho do end up parting company, with the Russian prepared to offer the current Bayern boss a huge financial package to take over at Stamford Bridge.

The pair had a frosty relationship during their respective stints at Real Madrid and Barcelona, so it’s unlikely that the prospect of Guardiola taking over at Chelsea would go down well with Mourinho…
